I love commercials.

They are creative, funny and short.
And they illustrate what there is best and worse in the modern world.

Here is a really good one :

The Independent ad

And here is the guy who convinced me not to be ashamed of this love :

Everything is going to be OK

The IT Crowd - Yesterday's Jam

The IT Crowd - Yesterday's Jam

since we don't have class next week maybe you want to look at some more of this... hint hint!.

Control your pain... really efficient presentation

I think this TED talk is quite efficient since it's really short. Though the slides go to fast in the end and i think this is not usefull to use it. He should have changed his slideshow and i think it's important to prepare it perfectly.

Jackson Pollock et le chamanisme

The link to La Pinacothèque de Paris website if you want to go to the exhibition about Pollock.
I have not already seen it,
but I think it is worth going there.
Students: 8,5 € You can
buy your tickets online.
It is
better if you learn a little about Pollock before going there since this exhibition does not deal with the most famous part of Pollock's work (ie his Dripping).

If you are interested in art.
The link below to the National Gallery of Art (Washington) website is about Jackson Pollock, an American painter who belonged to the abstract expressionist movement (late 40's).
The site is well done and the iconography is very
beautiful.
bonus: there is a film showing the process whereby Pollock painted his most famous painting called Dripping. Pollock himself painting : it is worth seeing it.
If you want to go further, there is an exibition about Pollock in La Pinacothèque de Paris (near Madelaine metro station) until February 15th 2009.

YouTube - Wassup 2008 Commercial (full version)

Both campaign teams in the presidential race have used all the availible media in the course of the campaign, from Obama's prime-time, 30-minutes-long ad aired on the three biggest television networks at the same time, to viral videos.

I don't think many french people know that the "wassup" frenzy back in 2000 originated from a Budweiser ad.
This video shows the original ad, and the 2008 "what did they become" version, as November the fourth approaches.

It's not that funny, but actually quite efficient
Probably the future US president, great ad
